Brandon Voted Off!?!

In the latest episode of American Idol Brandon Rogers was voted off. I didn't think that it would happen once he made it to the final 12. But once he forgot the words to the Supremes' "You Can't Hurry Love" I had a feeling that it may happen. And I am not the only one. In an interview with MTV Brandon said that he "absolutely knew what was coming" and that he "felt at peace with the decision". But according to him he didn't forget the words, but said that he was just "having too good of a time".

"I went out there, had a great time, did my little dance, my little hip-shimmy and the crowd screamed. That was the loudest the crowd has been the whole time in the competition [that I was onstage] and I was like, "Whoa! This is awesome! What the heck are my words?" I completely lost the line. My mind went blank. I reverted to a different version of the song and just sort of paused and waited for my opportunity to jump back in and do as best as I could."

But don't think that Brandon's departure from American Idol is going to stop him or his joking around. When asked what was next for him he said "hopefully my slow but sure takeover of the world!" He knows what an opportunity he has since he was on American Idol and thinks that the sky is the limit. He also hinted that he would like to take up acting and says "I'll get my "hands on any opportunity that comes my way and I'll make the best of it."

Brandon Rogers is in the Top 12!!! As he rightfully should be! Last week Brandon wowed the audience with his version of “I Just Want to Celebrate.” Randy and Paula thought that Brandon gave a solid performance and really proved himself. Tonight should be an interesting night for Brandon, and I think it will all come down to song choice. But, if any one of the Guy Idols can pull off singing a Diana Ross song, Brandon is certainly the man…. And he’ll look FINE doing it!
